Mercy Hospital - Joplin, MO
After Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, was destroyed by a tornado in May 2011, they continued operations at a temporary site until a new facility could be rebuilt at a new location. HEC completed calculations which confirmed that their temporary location was exempt from the requirement to obtain a permit with DNR’s Air Pollution Control Program (APCP). HEC also completed the application to the APCP for a Permit to Construct at the new location and prepared a Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan for the fuel tanks at the new location. In addition, HEC completed the application for a Basic Operating Permit for the new site.
Nortek Global HVAC - Boonville, MO
HEC completed Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for two locations owned by Nortek Global HVAC (formerly Nordyne) in Boonville, Missouri. This included site visits, research into the history of the subject sites and adjacent sites, records searches, and preparation of reports.
Redneck Manufacturing - Lamar, MO
Redneck Manufacturing in Lamar, Missouri is a growing company that manufactures hunting blinds. HEC has completed several applications to the APCP for permit modifications, including the use of new coatings and resins and the addition of three new sites. HEC has also prepared the application to remove certain permit limits. While this resulted in Redneck Manufacturing becoming subject to EPA’s Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) requirements, HEC has submitted the applicable notifications to DNR and EPA and continues to assist Redneck Manufacturing in maintaining compliance with this rule.
